Learn about OKC

OK Commit (OKC) is a set of proven principles, tools, practices, and processes based on many years’ experience in goal setting applied within the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework. The OKR framework is a popular goal management framework used by companies such as Google, LinkedIn, Walmart, Dun and Bradstreet, and ING Bank. OKC is not a single event but a journey.

Over time, OKC will enable both leaders and teams to realize:

  • Increased organizational alignment: OKC encourages cross-functional cooperation and alignment towards shared and organization-level goals.
  • Better communication: With OKC, goals are transparent across the organization and the simplicity helps teams understand the organization’s priorities.
  • Increased Focus: OKC encourages teams to set 1 or 2 goals to help the organization focus on what is most important so you can achieve your goal with excellence.
  • Better Performance: OKC is a management tool, and not an employee evaluation tool. OKC separates employee compensation from goal achievement. Through this process, team members set ambitious goals to achieve great things. If an organization achieves 100% of its goals, it is not trying hard enough. There is no penalty for missing a goal. OKC increases accountability through regular activity towards goal progress.
